41.jpg (25829 bytes)Risālat al-A‘dā’ is one of the rare and exquisite works that has been missing until the discovery of a manuscript copy at Dār al-Kutub al-Misriyya, which underlay the authentication of the text included in the second part of the book. The first part presents a study on the methodology of ‘Alā’ (Ibn al-Nafīs) al-Qurašiy and his scientific accomplishments. In the treatise, the author gives a comprehensive idea of the nature of the organs of the human body, and justifies their creation in such shapes! Ibn al-Nafīs also tackles other related issues.
