This
book constitutes the first part of his author’s master thesis
presented in 1985 at the University of Alexandria. A comparative
study, between the views of ‘Abdul
Karīm al-Jīliy and the outstanding figures of Sufism such as
Ibn ‘Arabiy, Ibn al-Fārid, al-Suhrawardiy and Ibn Sab‘īn
concerning the theories of the Unity of Being and the Perfect Man,
reveals the characteristics of the knowledge make up of those eminent
Qutbs (poles) who had lavishly enriched the Sufi heritage.
