In
an attempt to fill the gap on the Internet in respect to heritage,
manuscripts and Arabic/ Islamic memory, this site endeavors to combine the
antiquity of its content with the modernity of its display and
introduction of the assorted fields of heritage. The site comprises a host
of entries with one main objective: to serve and introduce the Arabic/
Islamic heritage properly, without being subjected to any ideological
drives or personal stand. Our mutual heritage rooted in the past with its
scopes ramified in the present, gathers what was scattered, corrects the
misconceptions accumulated in contemporary minds and reveals a bright page
in the history of mankind.
This
site is not meant to be a form of publicity, nor funded by any
establishment or individual. It is accessible without charge. The data
compiled within is the culmination of Prof. Dr. Youssef Ziedan’s work
and the quintessence of his creative journey, in which he dwelled in the
last twenty years on the restoration of Arabic/ Islamic memory.
